Job intro

Bluefield Research is seeking a dynamic person wanting to take a leading role in water analysis for the U.S. and Canada markets. In this pivotal role, the person will be responsible for guiding a team of water experts in delivering market-leading insights and real-time support to an expanding roster of clients.

Our research team, known for producing high-quality, data-backed research in a rapidly changing environment– shaped by climate, competitive strategies, and policies– is looking for someone with a combination of strong industry insights, leadership capabilities, and an insatiable curiosity about markets and business strategies.

This is a great opportunity to be a thought leader in a business-to-business environment, backed by a unique product (i.e., market data & insights) for companies focusing on a critically important industry (i.e., municipal and industrial water, wastewater, and stormwater management). After all, the World Economic Forum has linked water to 9 of 10 worst global risks, so the opportunity is real.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and developments influencing critical analyses of industry trends, outcomes, sensitivities, and potentially disruptive factors across the municipal and industrial markets.
  • Client Support: Provide day-to-day support to corporate insight clients, ensuring maximization of our products, including alignment of deliverables with and client workflows and needs.
  • Project Management: Develop and lead transparent project plans that consider timelines, resource allocations, and potential challenges. Most importantly, take ownership to ensure that the respective team members stay on course.
  • Collaboration: Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages open communication, mutual respect, and a shared sense of purpose among team members.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to engage prospective clients, promoting Bluefield’s offerings. This includes client workshops, webinars, speaking engagements, and associated travel.
  • Industry Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, identifying opportunities for new business and revenue growth.
