Sense is looking for a Salesforce Intern with experience in managing and building simple and efficient workflows to assist the Sense commercial team. Sense sells products and services through partnerships with utilities, meter manufacturers, and other channels.

We are looking for someone who is energetic and passionate about helping others. You will work with a variety of commercial and operational team members to manage existing data, assist with reporting, and design and implement new workflows. This role reports into the Director of Technical Programs.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Review and document the existing Salesforce structure and work with the commercial team to identify, implement and document improvements. 
  • Review and optimize existing data in Salesforce 
  • Assist in standardizing workflows for channel business development
  • Reproduce and resolve bugs reported by the commercial team. Experience with bug tracking systems is a plus!
  • Triage incoming leads and respond or assign them based on pre-set criteria and update lead processing automation rules.
  • Create new or enhance existing reports and dashboards for better company-wide visibility and understanding of sales status and sales team activity.
  • Make recommendations for future enhancements/integrations that will help Sense drive additional value.
  • Expand your existing Salesforce knowledge via hands-on learning and exploration of solutions options for problems presented.

 

Sense is headquartered in Cambridge, MA. Candidates for this position can be on-site, hybrid or fully remote for those who qualify for MassCEC funding. Some limitations exist for those with residency outside of Massachusetts; please inquire to confirm if you will be eligible based on your location.

 

Requirements

 

  • Attention to detail in regards to data, documentation and when defining and implementing requirements, including a willingness to ask questions and follow up to clarify any inconsistencies or ambiguities.
  • Ability to clearly organize and document decisions and processes to help the team adopt and consistently follow best practices.
  • Passion for helping others by providing timely responses and assistance when people need help.
  • Stellar communication skills, including interacting with internal team members from cross-functional departments including sales, programs, operations, account management, finance and engineering through Slack, Zoom, email (and face-to-face if coming into the office).
  • Salesforce administration experience is required; certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency with either Mac or Windows PCs, including knowledge of Microsoft or Google Office applications

 

Preferred experience:

 

  • Experience with SQL, Spreadsheet Macros and Database concepts
  • Experience with email services such as Mailchimp
  • Experience integrating other software with Salesforce, such as Slack or web forms.
  • Experience with coding in Apex; other programming experience may translate to this environment as well.
