Public Grid is on a mission to green the grid with affordable renewable energy by simplifying and streamlining utility account setup for renters. We integrate into the move-in process of multifamily buildings, making it easy for residents to sign up for their utility accounts while ensuring energy efficiency and savings. Our platform not only manages billing and utility onboarding but also provides access to energy-saving products and sustainable solutions for rental communities. We are the first to build a systematized approach to optimizing utility sign-ups across 100+ utility companies, setting new industry standards from the ground up.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Brand & Marketing Associate to help shape and grow Public Grid’s public presence. This person will lead brand awareness initiatives across social platforms, design and publish content, and create digital touchpoints that convey our mission and credibility. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to amplify the voice of Public Grid with consumers focused on fair and clean energy.
The role is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, and fluent in digital media tools. It’s a great fit for someone who wants to help define a company’s narrative, brand aesthetic, and go-to-market storytelling from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Create and manage content calendars across platforms like LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram
- Brand Awareness & Community Building: Build our audience in proptech, climate tech, and VC communities through regular posts, updates, and engagement. Heavy consumer focus to build brand awareness for consumers.
- Design & Content Production: Create visuals for marketing campaigns, decks, proposals, and web content (using Canva or similar tools)
- Email Campaigns & Outreach: Collaborate on email marketing and outreach campaigns to partners, users, and stakeholders
- Website & SEO Support: Help refine brand voice and copy for landing pages, blog posts, and FAQs
- Internal Marketing Tools: Create slide templates, one-pagers, and branded assets to support sales and ops teams
What We’re Looking For
- 1-4 years of experience in marketing, brand, or content creation
- Strong understanding of social media channels and best practices
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite)
- Excellent written communication and storytelling ability
- Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-moving startup environment
- Passion for clean energy, design, storytelling, or consumer marketing is a big plus
