Join RENEW Northeast and energy thought leaders for an afternoon on the urgent and necessary steps to build the transmission foundation for the next era of clean energy.
Meeting rising electricity demand and achieving New England states’ energy policy objectives depends on enhancing and modernizing the power grid. New transmission lines are needed to connect new and existing generation in remote areas to New England consumers. Enhanced connections in neighboring regions must be built to better balance variable supply and demand and share resources during extreme weather and peak demand periods.
Discussions will be guided by a new RENEW transmission white paper being released in advance of event.
