Accelerating Decarbonization

Cutting energy costs for Massachusetts families and businesses while creating clean energy jobs.

MassCEC helps Massachusetts residents and businesses transition away from expensive fossil fuels through proven technologies that lower energy bills. We fund programs that retrofit buildings, electrify transportation, and modernize our grid—work that creates immediate construction and installation jobs while reducing long-term costs for residents and employers. Our building and transportation programs have already deployed over $116 million across the Commonwealth, with the majority of funding going to projects outside Route 128.

Clean Transportation

Reducing transportation costs and emissions through electric vehicles, school buses, and charging infrastructure. We help communities electrify fleets, deploy e-bikes for low-income residents, and train workers for electric vehicle manufacturing and maintenance—jobs that can't be outsourced.
