Try to develop a good understanding of the required skills and the type of person you are searching for. Start off with a good profile of your ideal candidate before beginning your search for a potential hire so that you have a clear picture of the type of talent you will need.
We have developed keyword search functionality of applicant resumes and filters that will help you perform a narrow search to find someone that will be exactly who you want to have on your team. Try getting creative with your filtering, especially when entering in keywords. As more candidates enter into this newly created database over time, this functionality will only become more responsive.
Identify A Group
Many of the applicants on the Resume Board are recent graduates that are seeking entry level or early-stage positions. However, there are also those with more experience who are looking for a career or job change. Whatever your target candidate, make sure you identify multiple individuals so that you can have a fruitful round of interviews.
Once you have a good group of individuals, reach out to them to learn more! A recommended best practice is to forward the individual on to your job posting on the Jobs Board so that they can learn more about the position. Setting up a phone or in-person interview is the final step, and you can reach out to them directly through the contact information contained in their profile.
