Eversource Commercial EV Charging Program

Up to 100%
of the wiring to install EV chargers plus a rebate up to 50% off chargers.

Eligibility Summary*

  • You are eligible if you meet the requirements below: 
  • Your business or multifamily property gets electricity from Eversource. 
  • You also apply for all available state and federal funding you're eligible for.
  • Your charger(s) are eligible.

IRS Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Tax Credit

30% tax credit
on costs of charging equipment and installation (max $100,000).

Eligibility Summary*

To qualify for this tax credit, you must: 

  • Be a business or tax-exempt entity (including state and local governments).
  • Install all qualified fueling equipment in a low-income or rural population census tract (see eligibility here: Experience)

The credit expires June 30, 2026.

Massachusetts Workplace Charging Incentives

Up to 60%
costs of Level 1 or Level 2 EV charging stations (funding to a maximum of $50,000 per street address).

Eligibility Summary*

  • You are eligible if you meet the requirements below: 
  • You are an employer or fleet operator. 
  • You have 15 or more employees in non-residential places of business.
  • Your chargers comply with the Energy Star energy efficiency standards.
  • Your funding cannot exceed 100% of the costs of your project. 

If you are a National Grid or Eversource customer, this funding can only go towards the cost of your charging station. All other customers can apply this funding to installation costs, as well. 

Applications for funding will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis until program funds run out.
