Description

The purpose of the internship is to provide the student with supervised practice at the work site or in the office in the continuing daily operations of sustainability and construction.  The sustainability intern will have opportunities to develop and participate in the following activities:

 

Sustainable Content Creation:

- Interviews and preparation of one pagers and case studies on reduction strategies

- Social Media Content Creation

- Prepare post on successful jobsite sustainable innovations and progress.

 

Sustainability tracking of projects in dashboard

 - Review OneNote for meeting minutes for historical data to be added to project info and stats tab

- Update historical projects trade partner CSI and end dates.

- Meet with project teams to review project info and stat tabs

- Potential data to help identify trends

 

Sustainability Strategies and Solutions Research

- Boston/Cambridge building list update

- Temp heating options comparison (shop vs. rental market)

- Building material donations comparison

- Continue research on reduction strategy ideas and pilots, including ways to reduce water usage on project sites

- Meet with project teams to push implementation of reduction strategies

- Work with the Turner Shop to promote areas where they can help push reduction efforts

 - LEED documentation for submission
