With expertise in energy efficiency consulting, architecture, and building science, we help our clients to build better homes, maximize energy efficiency performance and reduce construction costs. We work with builders, architects, and homeowners to build ENERGY STAR, Passive House, and LEED-certified buildings while enhancing comfort and protecting the Earth.
This is an entry-level opportunity for a motivated individual who is willing to work in a startup environment to learn new concepts and show that s/he can bring immediate value to the organization. This is a multi-disciplinary position, which requires some office work, field activities, and customer interaction.
We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals to help grow our business in the Greater Boston Area. As you progress through the program and demonstrate your enthusiasm and aptitude, we can provide advanced training in areas like energy modeling and field inspection/testing, equipping you with a comprehensive skillset.
Responsibilities
- Helping a field inspector assistant during the final inspection and testing of new buildings
- Managing database and helping with energy modeling
- Learning about building science and energy efficiency concepts in construction
- Online search for relevant information and occasional code review
- Learning about the new revolutionary AeroBarrier Sealing (ABS) technology and helping out in the field with the process
- Data entry and providing necessary information to utility-sponsored energy efficiency program coordinator
Required Education, Skills, and Experience (unless otherwise noted)
- Computer savvy, sharp and meticulous
- Experience in construction, building science, and 3D/energy modeling are helpful but if you don’t have it and you are qualified, you will be trained.
- Construction/Engineering background desired but not required
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Interest in Energy Efficiency, Sustainability, and Green Technology
