Company Overview
LNK Energies is an MIT-founded startup on a mission to make diesel transportation obsolete. Our technology has no added costs, no operational changes, and uses existing fuel infrastructure. It’s a true drop-in solution–competitive with diesel today, not tomorrow. By unlocking affordable zero-emission transportation, we’re on a mission to redefine how freight and people move worldwide.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Partnership Develop & Customer Engagement
- Interface directly with our hydrogen offtake partners and secure more partners to support pilot planning, gather technical requirements, and identify expansion opportunities
- Conduct outreach and discovery interviews with logistics companies, drayage operators, private fleet owners, and 3PLs to understand operational pain points and refine our value proposition
- Engage truck OEMs and fuel cell powertrain integrators to scope partnership pathways — from retrofit programs to factory-integrated offerings
- Support the founding team in preparing for pilot deployments, customer meetings, and follow-up
LOHC Supply Chain De-Risking
- Map and evaluate suppliers of Benzyltoluene (BT) and other LOHC feedstocks across North America and Europe; assess capacity, pricing, lead times, and logistics
- Identify and qualify secondary suppliers to de-risk single-source dependencies
- Research transport and storage regulations for LOHCs (DOT classification, bulk handling, port logistics) and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations
- Build cost models and sensitivity analyses for supply chain scenarios at pilot, early commercial, and scale volumes
Beyond-Beachhead Expansion Strategy
- Research and prioritize next-wave markets beyond California drayage — including comparable port ecosystems (Port Newark/NY-NJ, Seattle/Tacoma, Houston, Savannah/Charleston) and adjacent verticals (regional haul, transit, etc.)
- Build market-sizing models, regulatory landscape maps, and incentive analyses (LCFS, state ZEV mandates, federal credits) for each target geography
- Develop a phased expansion playbook with go/no-go criteria, customer targets, and partnership requirements
- Support our scaling plan: production volumes, capital requirements, hiring pacing, and infrastructure milestones tied to deployment ramp
Synthesis & Strategic Communication
- Translate findings into clear, decision-ready outputs (e.g. memos, slide decks, dashboards) used directly by the founding team and shared with investors and partners
Who We're Looking For
We’re looking for motivated students who are excited to learn and make a real impact at an early-stage startup. You don’t need prior startup or industry experience—what matters most is a willingness to learn, take initiative, and push through challenges. We value fresh perspectives and people who aren’t afraid to question assumptions, share new ideas, and learn by doing.
Interns will work closely with our founders on go-to-market strategies, partnership development, and supply chain de-risking.
Flexibility & Growth
The scope of this role is flexible. Interns can focus on market strategy, partnerships, supply chain, or a mix depending on interests and learning goals. We’re building the company as we go—and we want interns who are excited to learn alongside us.
