Teragen Energy

Teragen Energy is a climate-tech startup developing next-generation power and long-duration energy storage (LDES) systems based on reversible solid oxide cell (r-SOC) technology. These systems provide both primary power generation and energy storage in a single device — uniquely capable of operating as a high-efficiency fuel cell and as an electrolyzer. This dual-functionality allows Teragen to deliver firm, clean, and dispatchable electricity from renewable sources at durations 10-100 hours.
Teragen was founded by two experienced energy technologists — both committed to building solutions that address grid resilience, decarbonization, and global access to reliable power. The company’s innovations span advanced ceramic engineering, power electronics integration, and modular stack design to support flexible deployment in microgrids, industrial backup systems, and off-grid infrastructure.
Teragen is actively supported by a growing network of national labs, universities, and accelerators, and is currently raising funds to scale prototype manufacturing, validate system performance, and secure core IP.
