Please describe the nature of the business or organization
NSBE Boston Professionals is a 501(c) organization whose mission is to increase the number of Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact their communities. One way we bring this mission to life is through our Clean Energy Student & Youth Summer Program, which raises awareness among the next generation of Environmental Justice youth and empowers them to become active stakeholders in the growing clean energy economy.

Compensation Explanation
NSBE Boston Professionals does not plan to directly hire student interns through this program and therefore will not be utilizing a W-2 payroll structure for program participants. Instead, we will leverage the program’s job board to identify and engage experienced adult professionals (e.g., Program Director) to support program delivery. These roles will be structured as independent contractors (1099), consistent with our current operating model.
