MOR-EV Standard Rebate

$3,500
for new light-duty vehicles.

Eligibility Summary*

  • You are eligible if you meet the requirements below:
  • Your new vehicle is on the eligible vehicle list.
  • The total MSRP of that vehicle is $55,000 or less.
  • You are a resident of Massachusetts (or a business based in Massachusetts).
  • You retain ownership of the vehicle or lease it for at least 36 consecutive months from the vehicle purchase or lease start.
  • You agree that any emissions reductions generated by the purchased vehicle will not be used as marketable emissions reduction credits.

You must apply for rebates within 90 days of your purchase or lease or receive the rebate at the point of sale by purchasing the vehicle from a MOR-EV participating dealership.

MOR-EV Class 8 Rebate

Up to $90,000
per electric vehicle.

Eligibility Summary*

  • You are eligible for this incentive if you meet the requirements below: 
  • You are a Massachusetts resident, business, or nonprofit organization (including schools and government departments).
  • Your vehicle is a new on-road battery or fuel-cell electric vehicle with a GVWR above 10,000 lbs. 
  • Your vehicle's total MSRP does not exceed $2,000,000.
  • Your vehicle is an eligible vehicle.

If your vehicle is parked or operates more than 50% of the time within an environmental justice community (see map here), you may qualify for an additional 10% rebate. You must submit qualifying documentation when you apply for your voucher.

Please note that applications for rebate reservation vouchers must be submitted and approved before you take the delivery of your electric vehicle(s). Once your request has been approved, you'll receive a rebate voucher that is valid for the next 12 months.

Rebate vouchers are offered on a first-come, first-served basis until funds run out.

for new light-duty class 2b trucks or pick-ups.

Eligibility Summary*

  • You are eligible if you meet the requirements below:
  • Your new vehicle is on the eligible vehicle list.
  • The total MSRP of that vehicle is $80,000 or less.
  • You are a Massachusetts resident or a business.
  • You retain ownership of the vehicle or lease it for at least 36 consecutive months from the vehicle purchase or lease start.

Eversource Commercial EV Charging Program

Up to 100%
of the wiring to install EV chargers plus a rebate up to 50% off chargers.

Eligibility Summary*

  • You are eligible if you meet the requirements below: 
  • Your business or multifamily property gets electricity from Eversource. 
  • You also apply for all available state and federal funding you're eligible for.
  • Your charger(s) are eligible.

IRS Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Tax Credit

30% tax credit
on costs of charging equipment and installation (max $100,000).

Eligibility Summary*

To qualify for this tax credit, you must: 

  • Be a business or tax-exempt entity (including state and local governments).
  • Install all qualified fueling equipment in a low-income or rural population census tract (see eligibility here: Experience)

The credit expires June 30, 2026.

Massachusetts Workplace Charging Incentives

Up to 60%
costs of Level 1 or Level 2 EV charging stations (funding to a maximum of $50,000 per street address).

Eligibility Summary*

  • You are eligible if you meet the requirements below: 
  • You are an employer or fleet operator. 
  • You have 15 or more employees in non-residential places of business.
  • Your chargers comply with the Energy Star energy efficiency standards.
  • Your funding cannot exceed 100% of the costs of your project. 

If you are a National Grid or Eversource customer, this funding can only go towards the cost of your charging station. All other customers can apply this funding to installation costs, as well. 

Applications for funding will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis until program funds run out.
