We are looking for an energetic individual with construction management experience who is driven to continue our history of exemplary customer service by ensuring the delivery of our solutions in a quality, on-time and efficient manner.   

Job Duties/Responsibilities: 
  • Manage the build cycle for residential solar photovoltaic (PV) projects
  • Assist the commercial Construction Manager with the build cycle for commercial solar PV projects
  • Manage and conduct site visits to identify any potential construction issues
  • Prepare, procure and stage materials for construction crews
  • Schedule and staff projects
  • Manage all sub-contractors
  • Partner with SunBug’s electrical foreman and crew leads to ensure projects are delivered to SunBug’s quality standards and within budget
  • Problem solve as issues arise in a timely manner
  • Work with the electrical foreman and crew leads to ensure an appropriate safety plan is implemented and followed
  • Ensure inspections (rough, building, electrical) are completed and the construction close out process is complete
  • Manage punch lists and the rainy day ‘to do’s for crews
  • Evaluate budget-to-actual financials on a project basis and implement strategies to improve project profitability
  • Leverage SunBug’s internal systems to ensure all project data is captured and to drive best practices, lessons learned and efficiencies across teams and projects
  • Create an environment of continuous learning and process improvement
  • Minimum 5 years Construction Management Experience - ideally in solar
  • Project management experience in a fast-paced, quick turnaround environment, leading multiple projects simultaneously to a high quality, on-time, and within budget result
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems
  • Highly organized with a natural aptitude for paying attention to the details
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Strong analytical, technology and financial management skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • Certifications highly desirable (Construction Service License, NABCEP, PMP)
