Receivables/Collections Accountant
 
Solect is currently seeking a full time Receivables/Collections Accountant to oversee the accounts receivable cycle and focus on the important areas of billings, collections and customer relationships.  The ideal candidate will develop relationships with customers work closely with the Sales, Service Managers and Project Managers. The position requires the ability to work independently or on a team in a fast paced environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: 
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Create/update customer job estimates in financial system, primarily for the construction business.
    • Apply customer payments; communicate customer payment discrepancies and billing and payment status to management, account teams and/or customers, as directed. 
    • Prepare bank deposits for receipts.
    • Reconcile customer accounts monthly. Post Cash Receipts into QuickBooks accounting system ensuring proper application and reconciling all discrepancies.
  • Collections
  • Prepare monthly A/R status reports. Maintain A/R aging and distribute weekly reports.
    • Follow up with customers for billing, statements and other communication. Build and maintain relations with customers to ensure timely payment of invoices.
    • Follow the collections plan when necessary for over-due accounts.
  • General Duties
    • Maintain Customer setup in accounting software and manage contract file administration
    • Assist management with research projects and problem resolution and other projects as requested.
    • Provide A/R support to management for the annual audit and close process.
    • Ensure all information presented to accounting is compliant with all company policies, procedures and internal controls.
Qualifications: 
  • BA/BS degree desired.
  • Hands-on experience in accounting or finance.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite applications.
  • SalesForce experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software desired.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced team environment.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
