This position works with large commercial and industrial customers and their design team members on new buildings, major comprehensive building renovations or building additions, to offer technical assistance aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of their building. This position is responsible for all aspects of New Construction program implementation, planning, delivery, customer service, and vendor management.to help stakeholders to achieve energy performance exceeding state building code requirements. Sample job activities include:

  • Markets energy efficiency programs to eligible customers and channel partners in design and construction community (i.e. architects, engineers, builders, etc).
  • Provides customers with analysis and support for energy efficiency strategies for new construction.
  • Provides customers with technical advice and assistance regarding the design, procurement and installation of energy efficient equipment, as well as adoption of demand-reduction initiatives.
  • Oversees the design, implementation and management of new programs, initiatives, and collaborates with statewide Mass Save program administrators and internal departments to achieve directives.

This position requires significant organization, leadership and project management skills as well as presentation and customer service skills.  This position requires a blend of technical and non technical abilities.

Qualifications: 

Technical Knowledge/Skill:  Requires knowledge of commercial and industrial building systems, design and construction processes, customer facing skills, technical skills and the ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel). Understanding of energy modeling software or methodology is a plus. CEM or similar energy management certification preferred.

Education: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business and related discipline or equivalent experience.  Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience:  Minimum of eight (8) years managing complex projects of a high volume commercial and industrial nature.  Customer service experience and/or aptitude.
