Request for Proposals: Wind Technology Testing Center Expansion

The Wind Technology Testing Center (the “WTTC”) is exploring options to expand its current building in order to develop capabilities to test longer offshore wind turbine blades. This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is seeking qualified companies and consultants with experience in building envelope and structural engineering design to develop a thirty percent (30%) design and corresponding documentation that will confirm that there are no major technical barriers before WTTC building expansion is finalized (including the impact to the current WTTC operations during construction). Additionally, if the thirty percent (30%) phase is successful, the applicant will: (i) have the resources to accelerate and complete the one hundred percent (100%) design and construction documentation required; and (ii) provide preliminary cost estimates that can be used to secure funding for the proposed expansion.

Successful applicants will work with the WTTC team to develop innovative and sustainable solutions that can be continued to complete the one hundred percent (100%) design and construction.
