Request for Proposals – Resilient Service Stations Challenge

This solicitation is now closed. This page is for reference use only.

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) is seeking concept paper applications under the Resilient Stations Challenge, a special round of its InnovateMass program for resilient service station demonstration projects.

Under this challenge, InnovateMass will provide funding for projects that deploy commercially viable energy resilience technologies and demonstrate innovative and/or replicable business models while providing measureable energy resilience, risk management, clean energy and/or climate benefits to Massachusetts gas stations, enabling these facilities to provide critical goods and services to the communities they serve during extended electric grid failures. Successful applicants will propose projects that address important energy and resilience challenges, help to grow the state’s clean energy economy, and contribute to Massachusetts’ continued clean energy and resilience leadership.

MassCEC anticipates making multiple awards, each up to $75,000. Applicants may be located outside of Massachusetts, but the demonstration host site(s) must be located in the state.

Proposals must be submitted by email to Karen Kao at by August 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. (updated from July 21st, 2017) and must contain "Resilient Service Stations Application" in the email subject line.

A list of respondents to the Expressions of Interest survey can be found here. If you are not on the list and would like to be included, please complete the brief survey here
