Request for Proposals - Pilot Studies for Regional Fisheries Monitoring

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC), in partnership with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM), invites proposals for development and execution of pilot studies for regional fisheries research and monitoring for Southern New England in relation to the Massachusetts and Rhode Island/Massachusetts wind energy areas.   

The purpose of the pilot studies initiative is to advance baseline data information and fisheries research and monitoring topics of relevance to offshore wind in the Southern New England region prior to commencement of offshore wind construction activities.  The RFP is open to study proposals in three topic areas:  1) Fishery Resource Studies, 2) Seafloor Habitat Studies and 3) Technical Studies.  Up to $1,000,000 is available through this RFP to support one or more Pilot Studies.  

The completed proposal and all other documentation must be submitted to Nils Bolgen at by October 17, 2019.  The words “Pilot Fisheries Studies RFP” must appear in the email subject line.
