The Quirk Auto property is located along the west bank of the Weymouth Fore River in Quincy, MA and Braintree, MA. The property was the former site of the Quincy / Fore River Shipyard and is now a vehicle storage and distribution facility. Located approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) from Interstate 93, this roughly 119-acre (48 hectare) property currently includes 12 warehouse and office buildings and is the active operations for Quirk Automotive’s parts and inventory supply for their dealerships. Additional infrastructure on-site includes former graving docks which are concrete lined and surrounded by steel cofferdams, an additional concrete lined slip in the south and a contractor’s lay down yard.
Quirk Auto is accessible by road, deep-water channel in the Weymouth Fore River, and by commercial railroad running through the property. The site is approximately 120 nautical miles (222 km) from the leading edge of the offshore wind energy areas south of Martha’s Vineyard.
