Event Location:
Virtual

The Town of Cohasset’s “Microgrid Mondays” event is a free series of virtual microgrid tours that will be running weekly on Mondays from 12pm to 1pm in February and March.

This event is a knowledge sharing opportunity for the public to learn more about the world of microgrids. What microgrids are, what they look like, where they are, and how common they are. These virtual tours are highlighting innovative technology solutions for the general public as the future of energy generation continues to move further away from traditional infrastructure and fossil fuels.

The event is going to feature at least six different microgrids of varying sizes and capacity, from one man’s garage to a large, fully operational facility. The Town is coordinating with name brands including Siemens, Ameresco, Russ Electric, Schneider Electricity, and ENGIE. It is also being co-sponsored by NECA (Northeast Energy and Commerce Association), NEWIEE (New England Women in Energy and the Environment), and MAPC (Metropolitan Area Planning Council).
