NECEC is excited to announce a virtual event series as part of its Emerging Trend Series, Connecting Regions on the Road to COP26, sponsored by National Grid, a Principal Partner for COP26!

The COP26 summit, which will be held in November 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland, aims to unite the world to tackle climate change and drive climate action. Our event series will reinforce this theme of collaboration by bringing together stakeholders to explore opportunities to accelerate the drive to a net-zero future through key sectors like offshore wind, cities and built environment, and clean transportation.

Join NECEC for this first virtual event, Lessons from the North Sea, on May 19 to hear a keynote on what to expect on the “Road to COP26” and what is needed to put us on a path to net-zero by 2050. Hear a panel of experts share lessons learned from scaling the offshore wind industry in the UK and integrating this resource into the grid, and discuss how to translate these practices to scale offshore wind in the Northeast U.S. And stay tuned in the coming months for more details on NECEC's Connecting Regions on the Road to COP26 event series, with a Cities and the Built Environment event in July and Clean Transportation event in September!
