The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s (MassCEC’s) General Counsel is responsible for handling the full range of legal matters involving the MassCEC. The General Counsel will report to the CEO and advise senior management and the Board of Directors, as well as managing MassCEC’s in-house legal team and outside legal advisors. The General Counsel will provide advice on the full range of MassCEC legal matters, including clean energy legal, regulatory and policy matters, contracting and procurement, and other general legal matters related to the activities of MassCEC and its employees. In addition, an important aspect of the role will be advising on and overseeing a wide variety of commercial relationships, from debt and equity investments in emerging companies to contracts with multi-national manufacturing companies. The General Counsel will also provide advice and support for clean energy project development activities including permitting and real estate transactions. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to quickly assimilate new information, act prudently and think creatively under high pressure and tight deadlines, and operate efficiently in an entrepreneurial environment. This position will work closely with other senior management and report to the CEO.
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (“MassCEC”) seeks a proactive, self-starter to join the venture investments (“Investments”) and grant/stakeholder activation program (“Programs”) teams. The will work with the Investments and Programs teams to accelerate the advancement of technology and economic development in the Massachusetts clean energy industry, and help to meet the Commonwealth’s climate goals. On a day-to-day basis, the Analyst will report to the Investment Associate and to one or more Project Managers in the Program team, with 50% of the Analyst’s time devoted to each of Investments and Program work.
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center seeks a proactive, self-starter to join the venture investments team. The Investment Principal (the “Principal”) will work with the Investments team to accelerate the advancement of technology and economic development in the Massachusetts clean energy industry, and help to meet the Commonwealth’s climate goals. The Principal will report to the Managing Director of Investments (the “MD”) and will work alongside the Investments team to source, evaluate, and manage equity and venture debt investments in the most promising clean energy companies in Massachusetts, and to assist with other related programs. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (“MassCEC”) seeks a motivated and organized candidate to join the grant/stakeholder activation program (“Programs”) team as a . The Program Administrator will support MassCEC in accelerating the advancement of key decarbonization technologies and practices, in furthering economic development in the Massachusetts clean energy industry, and in helping to meet the Commonwealth’s climate goals. On a day-to-day basis, the Program Administrator will report to two Program Managers on the Program team.
The Program Administrator’s work will be concentrated around programming relating to resiliency (microgrids, solar plus storage systems, and others) and clean transportation, including MassCEC’s existing Clean Energy and Resiliency (CLEAR) and Accelerating Clean Transportation Now (ACTNow) programs, as well as future endeavors in this topic areas. The Program Administrator will have contributing executional responsibility for developing solicitations, coordination of (and participation in) review of grant applications, awardee selection, contracting, and grant management.
The Staff Accountant at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) will apply principles of accounting to play a key role in supporting MassCEC’s accounting department. The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager, will work closely with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer, and will interact with all levels of the organization.
