Want to join a company that is changing the way cities work?

OptiRTC, Inc., (Opti), a technology startup focused on monitoring and control of stormwater infrastructure, is seeking a full-time Sales Engineer to work on the Sales Team. The position is open to start as soon as possible in Boston, MA or Washington, DC.

Opti is focused on helping communities achieve their water quality, flood control, and combined sewer overflow objectives through continuous monitoring and adaptive control (CMAC) of distributed stormwater infrastructure. Opti’s CMAC technology is built on a cloud-based platform and provides communities with a more cost-effective and efficient solution to manage critical water resource issues by automatically controlling the timing and rate of stormwater flow through existing and new facilities.  As the industry leader, Opti controls stormwater infrastructure in 21 states throughout the country and is set to double in size in the next year.

The Sales Team is responsible for driving revenue by managing client and partner relationships, implementing growth strategies, and developing innovative project delivery methods.  The Sales Engineer will play a key role in supporting sales managers, channel partners, and assisting prospective clients in developing design, configuration and deployment plans, and specifications for implementing Opti’s products and services.  The Sales Engineer will also work closely with Marketing, Project Delivery, and the Research and Development Teams.  The Sales Engineer will be required to become deeply knowledgeable in Opti’s technology and its applications across a variety of use cases.  The position requires a dynamic self-starter with a combination of strong analytical and communications skills, and a solid educational background in environmental engineering or a closely related field.
