New Bedford’s North Terminal consists of ten parcels located to the west of the Acushnet River on Herman Melville Boulevard in New Bedford, MA. This 21-acre (8.4 hectare) complex is owned by the City of New Bedford and currently home to a variety of businesses and operations, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Dewatering Facility, Packer Marine, a transportation facility, a metal fabricator, and repair shops.
North Terminal site has good access to the interstate highway, to deep water, and a local workforce. The site is 35 nautical miles (65 km) from the leading edge of the offshore wind energy areas located south of Martha’s Vineyard.
