Chief Operating Officer

We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to join MassCEC as our Chief Operating Officer (COO).  MassCEC is at the forefront of driving climatetech and clean energy innovation in Massachusetts, and we are seeking an individual with a proven track record in people and operational leadership with demonstrated experience scaling the systems, structures, and culture of a growing organization for long-term operational and programmatic excellence. The COO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is a key member of the Leadership Team. 

The COO advances the MassCEC's mission to establish Massachusetts as the global leader in climatetech through strong leadership and execution, serving as an exemplary model of the organizational culture. The COO is responsible for the organization's daily internal operational management, while creating an environment that supports career growth and promotes inclusion and belonging, in close collaboration with the Leadership Team. The COO serves as a representative for the CEO on all internal operational matters, underlining the significance of their role in achieving the organization’s mission, maintaining cohesion and alignment within the organization. Also, the COO works closely with the Chief of Staff to foster a collaborative environment and timely and effective communication across the organization and the development of organizational goals. MassCEC seeks an experienced workforce professional to join MassCEC’s Workforce Development team as a Program Manager. Program Administrator - Offshore Wind

MassCEC seeks a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented candidate to join the team as a Program Administrator. The Program Administrator will support MassCEC in accelerating the advancement of key decarbonization technologies and actions, furthering economic development in the Massachusetts clean energy industry, and helping to meet the Commonwealth’s climate goals. 

This position is on the offshore wind team, supporting efforts to advance the Commonwealth’s goal to responsibly develop cost-effective offshore wind and reduce project risk, increase market confidence, and maximize the associated climate, workforce, and economic benefits of this new industry. The Program Administrator will support and help manage various elements within the offshore wind division’s portfolio of initiatives with particular emphasis on wildlife and fisheries, ports and infrastructure, research and innovation, and stakeholder engagement related to offshore wind development in Massachusetts. The Program Administrator may also from time-to-time support workforce development, business development, and supply chain initiatives. Read more

Program Administrator - Solar Equity

MassCEC seeks a motivated and organized candidate to join MassCEC as a Program Administrator. Successful candidates will bring relevant programmatic experience and/or interest paired with a strong commitment to helping Massachusetts achieve its 2050 net zero emissions goals in a way that focuses on equitable solutions to support environmental justice neighborhoods, and other underserved and underrepresented populations.  

The Program Administrator will play a key role in supporting MassCEC’s solar and building decarbonization programming.  Specifically, this role will be part of MassCEC’s High-Performance Buildings team, which supports the Commonwealth’s ambitious goals of reducing and eliminating fossil fuel and emissions from buildings, including supporting the development of significant potential programming focused on equitable access to Solar and other clean energy solutions within underserved communities. Read more

Program Manager - Solar Equity

MassCEC seeks a motivated and experienced candidate to join the Building Decarbonization team as a Program Manager. The Program Manager will play a key role in designing and overseeing solar equity initiatives that are part of MassCEC’s efforts to unlock pathways for eliminating emissions from the Commonwealth’s buildings and meet emissions goals. This position will work to launch solar equity programs that will support the state in achieving its 2050 net zero emissions goals. MassCEC expects the responsibilities of this position to evolve and expand as MassCEC pursues future endeavors and programming.  

This work will involve engaging with industry stakeholders, conceptualizing and designing market transformation initiatives, and implementing programs that effectively address barriers to solar equity. The Program Manager will engage in this sector across many fronts, including with consumers and property owners, industry solution providers, workforce, solar and energy efficiency program administrators, and policy makers. The role will implement initiatives to increase awareness, foster new business approaches, enhance available workforce, and recommend realignment of institutional practices and policies. Furthermore, the Program Manager will serve as a resource for MassCEC and other state agencies on matters related to solar equity.  Read more

Program Manager - Clean Transportation

MassCEC seeks a motivated and organized candidate to join the Clean Transportation team as a Program Manager. The Program Manager will play a key role in new program development, management of ongoing programs to guarantee successful rollout, stakeholder engagement, and oversight of administrative staff.

This position will develop clean transportation program designs with potential near term program focus areas of: vehicles-for-hire, utility interconnection, V2X, e-bikes, electric school buses, medium-and heavy-duty fleets, consumer engagement and education in alignment with state equity goals. In addition, the role will serve as advisor for transportation grantees and contractors, ensuring constructive feedback from awarded projects. MassCEC expects the responsibilities of this position to evolve and expand as MassCEC develops and initiates future clean transportation programs. Read more

Program Administrator - Clean Transportation

MassCEC seeks a motivated and organized candidate to join the Clean Transportation team as a Program Administrator. The Program Administrator will play a key role in supporting management of ongoing programs to guarantee successful rollout, stakeholder engagement, and thorough and thoughtful project learnings.

This position blends the daily program administration responsibilities of awardee support, data entry of key program metrics, and contract and invoice processing with frequent opportunities to collaborate on program improvement, outreach efforts, and integration of broader clean transportation goals. Read more

Program Manager - Employer Engagement

MassCEC is actively seeking a dedicated Program Manager to support employer and industry engagement, a pivotal role in the workforce development team's contributions to helping the Commonwealth meet its climate goals through effective workforce development programming. The Program Manager will leverage the team knowledge of the clean energy industry, to design and implement effective outreach engagement efforts and support the development of effective employer and industry partnerships across our many workforce development programs and initiatives. The Program Manager’s outreach and engagement efforts will be instrumental in enhancing both current and prospective program opportunities, inclusive of those supported by federal funding.
