Mission: accelerate grid decarbonization through data insights and automated actions
Location: primarily Boston, but we have a distributed team. For this role, we want to hire in the greater Boston area because we eventually want to have this be a full time position
Current customers: we serve a variety of customers and users, namely
- Utilities: to help them understand, analyze, and improve their green programs on the road to decarbonization
- DER providers: to help them automate devices based on the grid’s carbon footprint (especially as it changes throughout a given day)
- Energy software companies: to provide features & functionality to embed grid carbon data in their products, and
- Higher education institutions: to help them understand their electricity based emissions and reduce them
On the job, you will
- Work with product team to understand user/customer needs
- Design user workflows for the web application in a modern tool (e.g. Figma)
- Work with engineers to ensure customer delivery in a timely manner
- Solicit and incorporate feedback from users, customers, and Singularity employees
The project we’re hiring for, specifically, is one that will help electric utility companies understand, account for, measure, and optimize their energy generation. This is especially needed when it comes to a utility’s “green” programs that they sell and helping to optimize and advance those programs. We would love a product designer with experience with dashboard visualizations in a B2B product, but open to any product designer applicants in the Boston area! Competitive hourly pay ranging from $75 - $140 per hour depending on experience
