Solarize Massachusetts Pilot Presentations

In April 2011, MassCEC launched Solarize Massachusetts in the towns of Harvard, Hatfield, Scituate and Winchester to encourage residents and businesses to join forces to go solar as a community. By joining together, residents in these four towns realized cost savings through bulk purchasing and contracted a total of 829 kilowatts of solar PV. A total of 162 residents or businesses contracted to install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems through the Solarize Massachusetts pilot. MassCEC staff conducted a Solar 101 and Solar 201 in each town to present information on solar PV and the Solarize Massachusetts program.
Volunteers coordinating the Solarize Mass pilot in Harvard developed surveys which they distributed to their neighbors both before and during Solarize Harvard:
