DOE Solid-State Lighting Product Development
DOE has released a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for about $11.5 million for approximately 3 to 7 awards is support product development of general illumination SSL sources, luminaires, and enabling products, where product development is the systematic use of knowledge gained from basic and applied research to develop or improve commercially viable materials, devices, or systems.. The anticipated period of performance is 2 years. The cost share is 20% but 10% may be considered for all applicants and the cost share is waived for Indian tribes or Tribal Energy Resource Development Organizations. Eligible applicants are all types of domestic entities, including companies, non-profits, institutions of higher education, and local and state governments. Other Federal agencies and Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) contractors are not eligible applicants.
