Investment Associate Fellowship

MassCEC is looking for a MBA candidate for our summer Investment Associate Fellowship. This role will include assessment and evaluation of potential investments and conducting primary industry research and analysis. 

 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct valuation analysis and financial modeling 
  • Conduct business and industry due diligence 
  • Evaluate  new investment ideas and strategies 
  • Assist in the writing of internal investment reports and recommendations 
  • Assist  in portfolio company monitoring and strategy planning
  • Assist in transaction structuring and negotiations
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 2-4 years of venture capital, consulting or private equity experience 
  • Superior  financial analysis and modeling skills, preferably with venture valuation experience
  • Experience working on small teams
  • Ability to source, research and synthesize industry data, metrics and reports 
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent  written and oral communication skills 
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active, positive attitude with good listening skills and high integrity
  • A passion for venture capital, investing in cleantech, and working with management teams
Education:
  • Candidate for MBA 
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top ranked University, business/financial or engineering degree preferred
Supervision: 
The fellow will work under the supervision of the Managing Director of Investments at MassCEC.
