Investment Associate Fellowship

MassCEC is looking for a MBA candidate for our summer Investment Associate Fellowship. This role will include assessment and evaluation of potential investments and conducting primary industry research and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Conduct valuation analysis and financial modeling
Conduct business and industry due diligence
Evaluate new investment ideas and strategies
Assist in the writing of internal investment reports and recommendations
Assist in portfolio company monitoring and strategy planning
Assist in transaction structuring and negotiations

Qualifications and Skills:

2-4 years of venture capital, consulting or private equity experience
Superior financial analysis and modeling skills, preferably with venture valuation experience
Experience working on small teams
Ability to source, research and synthesize industry data, metrics and reports
Strong work ethic
Ability to work independently
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Enthusiastic, pro-active, positive attitude with good listening skills and high integrity
A passion for venture capital, investing in cleantech, and working with management teams

Education:

Candidate for MBA
Bachelor’s degree from a top ranked University, business/financial or engineering degree preferred

Supervision:

The fellow will work under the supervision of the Managing Director of Investments at MassCEC.
