The Commonwealth Solar Rebate Program Fellow will support the implementation and evaluation of MassCEC's Commonwealth Solar Rebate Programs, including photovoltaic and solar hot water technologies. The fellow will analyze data trends, create reports and presentations, and assist in the day to day operations of the programs.
Education College undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or higher, preferably majoring in science, economics, or public policy.
Responsibilities: • Conduct research to identify what (other) states and countries are doing with respect to incentivizing solar photovoltaic and hot water programs • Interview stakeholders, including program administrators, installers, developers, or advocates • Work independently to analyze existing project data, identify trends, and develop effective communication tools, i.e. graphs, charts, tables • Review detailed solar project information to facilitate rebate funding approval and/or payment • Draft memos and presentations to summarize project and research findings
Qualifications and Skills • Familiarity with or interest in renewable energy issues • Strong analytical skills • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Detail Oriented • Strong recordkeeping and organizational skills
Supervision – the fellow will work under the supervision of a Project Manager within the Renewable Energy Generation division at MassCEC.
