The office of Energy issued a press release and a notice about allocating $786.5 million for biofuels to address deployment of intermediate ethanol blends and R&D on algal and advanced biofuels. DOE expects to publish both funding announcements in the summer of 2009. The special advance notice is intended to provide potential applicants the opportunity to develop partnerships and begin the process of gathering data to prepare their applications.
