Massachusetts' Wind Turbines

Division:  Renewable Energy Generation
Type:  Projects

Wind energy installed in Massachusetts has grown from just 3.5 megawatts (MW) installed in 2007 to 46 MW installed today. The 25 wind projects in Massachusetts are helping the state move towards its renewable energy goals, while providing clean, renewable energy for communities in the Commonwealth.

MassCEC has developed an interactive web map featuring these 25 wind projects that range in size from 100 kilowatts to 15 megawatts. It provides an overall picture of existing projects through a familiar and accessible Google Maps interface while also offering in depth information about individual projects.

Users can learn more about a project by clicking on the turbine icon, which will make an information windows appear with information such as a project overview, technical details, MassCEC funding (where applicable), and quotes from the people behind the project.
