EBC's Rhode Island Program: How to manage PCBS in Buildings and/or the Environment

With presentations from industry experts, this EBC Rhode Island program will focus on PCBs, both in building materials as well as the environment. PCBs are one of only a few contaminants regulated by the EPA (through TSCA) as well as by individual states. As the TSCA regulations are fairly rigid and prescriptive, the investigation and remediation of PCBs can be extremely challenging. This program will focus on the state of the industry and discuss advanced issues in the assessment / cleanup of PCB-impacted building projects.

Fisheries Working Group on Offshore Wind Energy

Since 2011, the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center have convened the Massachusetts Fisheries Working Group (FWG) on Offshore Wind Energy to discuss fisheries issues. While the working group is voluntary and informal, it provides a critically important forum for maintaining a dialogue with key stakeholders, getting fishing industry feedback and guidance, and identifying issues and concerns for the federal agencies leading the offshore wind leasing and permitting effort.
